She graduated from the IUAV in Venice as an architect and undertook a PhD in environmental engineering in Trento. She spent a research period at the Alterra research centre (Wageningen, NL). From 2016 to 2020, she worked as environmental expert for the United Nations (UN-Habitat) in South East Africa.
